About SdF

“The sun shone, having no alternative, on the nothing new” (“Murphy” by Samuel Beckett)

For, with and from people, who are incapable of being nihilists

Sisyphos, der Flugelefant (SdF) is an independent performance and production platform, founded and led by the Taiwanese director Chang Nai Wen in Berlin in 2008. The members are Chang’s long term collaborators and artists of various disciplines chosen according to each project.

With a wide range of projects – from theater and site-specific Performances to Live Art, from documentary films to sound-space-video Installations, SdF’s working principles have been direct, interactive and coopeartive. We have left traces at various festivals and venues in cities such as Berlin, Erlangen, Feldkirch or Leipzig with all kinds of artistic “playgrounds,” which enable some mutual communication between performers and spectators, and also among the audience members themselves.

Since 2011, SdF offers tailor-made and theme based workshops, using different artistic tools for expressions, discovery and adventure for both children and adults.
